1. HOLIDAY HOOTENANNY WITH LYDIA THIS WEEKEND!!! Maybe I will get kissed on the back of my head by a stranger again....who will then proceed to climb my back and attempt to crowd surf.
2. UC apps are finally in! Whew, a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. But, 11 days left...I may deal with stress all right, but with anxiety? NOPE.
3. I can't stop making mixes on 8tracks. It is the most addicting thing ever. Check it http://8tracks.com/nornorchang
At least the computer doesn't think I'm 14.
The 24-hour wait I had to do just to reactivate my facebook was ridiculous.
6. Hannah's and my (I's?) short film Switch is done!! Going to her house to watch it and do final fine-tunings on the editing this Friday.
7. A baby video just for funsies.
Sarah: Can we go to Canada for my 16th birthday?
Mom: Why Canada?
Sarah: So I can drink legally.
Mom: What? That's so silly. Just drink here!!!!
Lol, love ya mother.
I don't like how my Paris picture looks blurry, but y'all should all press like. "The Winner Is" has like a minute of silence at the end so just skip once ya hear no more beautiful music.
Clearly, papa bear wasn't watching out for the focus on our faces and the head room of the frame, but I do like how this picture highlights the turkey. The girls of the Chang residence have matching PJs from Costco :) My dad feels left out so we have decided to get him a cheetah-print women's large next time we go. And it is so bright out because we couldn't wait until actual dinner time and had all this food at 4pm.
Yummy, yum, yum.
Sarah and I reenacting how the turkeys would have looked seconds before being slaughtered on this beautiful, blessing day of giving thanks.
"I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is." - Albert Camus.
I'm really excited for my sister to come back from school so I can tell her this, lol. My mom finds it very unhealthy that we argue over the existence of God nonstop.
It hasn't hit me until now that I get the entire next week off. Bishop's people have school on Monday and Tuesday, hah :).
Anyway, I had my Penn interview yesterday and was surprised how casual it was!
I thought she was going to be asking really generic questions like "What's your strength as a student, what do you want to do after college, yadda yadda" but they were actually fun questions that I didn't mind answering at all although a few of them made me think a ton.
Oh and I gave my interviewer my pen, so I better get into Penn. GET IT? AREN'T I SO PUNNY?!?
That kind of reminds me of a line in Say Anything when John Cusack's character is like "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen."
So hopefully in around 20 days, I won't be saying, "I gave it my heart and a pen and it gave me a rejection letter....." And instead I will be running around my streets half naked yelling, "GUESS WHO'S GONNA BE A QUAKERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR".
We'll see. Crossing my fingers, eeeeeeee!
I've just been extremely busy with schoolwork, film portfolio, college apps, and the retaining of my social life. And when I do have spare time, I would forget that my blog even exists and go on turntable.fm instead, heh. I don't have too much to share, but I cleaned and reorganized my entire closet a couple days ago!
Here is a proof for those of you in doubt. Don't worry, I don't blame you. And not only is my closet looking much better than before, look what I came across!
I wish it would get super cold already so I can wear my awkward turtlenecks out. Living in San Diego kind of sucks sometimes. I mean it's the middle of November, why is it still 70 degrees? I am pretty sure I will set off many girls' (and few of those special boys') fashion faux pas radar by wearing those to school, but hey my recent motto regarding fashion is "Warmth first, lookin' sleaker later", which doesn't even really rhyme and is not as catchy typed than when I said it earlier in my brain....you get my point.
I'm in this TEDX Youth Day intro video thing that is apparently going to be played in over 100 events all over the world. If that isn't cool, cool has certainly lost its meaning. I'm pretty sure I got picked to read the lines because I was the only ethnic female in my ROP Media class though...
I can be seen awkwardly running briefly from 0:22 to 0:24 on the left.
